Howdy Billy & Mike Show fans!
If you had asked me 3 months ago if I thought Lake Grapevine will be at +10.5, I would have told you that you were absolutely crazy! But, if you’ve seen the pictures on Facebook, then you’d know that it’s obvious we’ve gotten a little too much rain in the past couple of months. It took 3 – 4 months for the lake level to come up 10.5 feet to a normal level of 535 feet MSL, and only one week to come up another 10.5 feet 545.5 feet MSL. We now have flooding conditions around the lake which is making things very interesting at the local marinas including Scott’s Landing.
Scott’s has constructed a looooong floating walkway to allow access to the marina since most of the parking lot is now under water. So, if you’re planning to come out to our show tomorrow night (assuming we don’t get rained out), make sure you arrive early so you can get a good parking spot.
The forecast is for more rain and scattered thunderstorms during the day and extending into the evening. We’re hoping it will miss the Grapevine area so we can put on a great show for all of you.
If we do happen to get cancelled, don’t fret about it. We will be playing next Friday at the Grapevine Elks Lodge. Just check our calendar of events for directions.
Stay dry, and we hope to see you tomorrow night at Big Daddy’s Ship Store!
